Three Eyes Tribal: an performance group of Edmonton Bellydance Academy officially formed in May of 2008. The troupe is composed of a group of students who started taking American Tribal Style classes with Brandi in the Fall of 2006 and became quite intrigued with the style. A few extracurricular performances came along, and after spending so much time dancing together, the group of students became a troupe under the direction of Brandi.

Three Eyes Tribal is a belly dance troupe located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada who is dedicated to studying and performing the original American Tribal Style (ATS) belly dance as created by Carolena Nericcio, director of Fat Chance Belly Dance.

American Tribal Style is a modern form of belly dance created in North America by Carolena Nericcio. It has its roots in Middle Eastern and North African dances with influences from Spanish Flamenco and dances of India. What characterizes this style is the concept of "group improvisation". Through the non-verbal communication of movements and gestures, the women dance together as a unit without using choreography. This means we are creating art right on the spot, and no two performances are ever the same.

It is a wonderful expression of feminine strength and beauty. Although Three Eyes Tribal adheres mostly to American Tribal Style, they have also adopted a few movements from Gypsy Fire, Gypsy Caravan, as well as some of their own.

Colourful costuming, swirling skirts, and finger cymbals layered over up-tempo rhythmic, or slow mesmerizing music makes Three Eyes Tribal a delight to watch.
